Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 6, 2026

FocusArc ("the App") is developed by ShinyOrca Apps. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data the App handles, how it's stored, and what we don't do with it.

Short version

We don't collect your data. We don't track you. We don't run analytics. Your focus sessions, characters, and progress stay on your device and in your private iCloud account if you choose to enable sync.

Data storage

All your data — focus sessions, statistics, character unlocks, settings, and progress — is stored locally on your device. Nothing is sent to our servers, because we don't operate any.

If you enable iCloud Sync (available with Premium), your data is additionally stored in your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit. This data is only accessible to you through your Apple ID. We have no access to it.

What we don't collect

Deep Focus (App Blocking)

FocusArc uses Apple's FamilyControls framework to block distracting apps during focus sessions. The list of apps you choose to block is stored locally on your device and is handled entirely by the operating system. We never see which apps you select or use.

In-App Purchases

Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We don't receive or store any payment information — no credit card numbers, no billing addresses, nothing. Apple handles all of that.

Apple Watch

The companion Apple Watch app communicates directly with the iPhone app over Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. Timer states are synced locally between your devices. No data leaves your devices.

Third-party services

FocusArc does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. There are no hidden network calls. The only external communication is with Apple's own services (iCloud, StoreKit, FamilyControls) — all of which are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Children's privacy

We don't knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children. Since the App doesn't collect personal information at all, there is no special concern here — but we want to be explicit about it.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the App handles data, we'll update this page. Major changes will be noted in the App's update notes as well.
